|

I know this is weird, but when I press the shift and minus keys in Plato, I'm no longer seeing the under-score character appear.
Rather, I get a blank space.
Moreover, when I backspace over an underscore, it removes the "space" taken up by the underscore, but leaves the underscore sitting beneath the next character in the string.
What did I do to cause this? And how can I get back to normal operations? |

Norm,
I have seen this problem before and the problem can be the font that is being used to display the code. ( the underscore is being drawn below the line and I think it is being overwritten by the line below )
The solution may be to change the font selected for the code.
Check tools > options > fonts.
I have courier new size 10 selected. If you have something different, I'd recommend changing and seeing if that fixes the problem.

Hi John
I had Courier new size 11 as my default.
I changed it to 10, and the problem was fixed.
I changed it back to 11, and the problem was still fixed.
How do I explain that logically?
Anyway, yet again, many thanks for your help.
