I am finding it difficult to connect to this forum.
MOST times I select the forum web address I get a failure message from internet explorer 11. The message I receive is :
Quote: | Server Error
500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed. |
I usually try about a few hours later and sometimes get through.
It has been happening for a few weeks now.
Are others experiencing this problem, or being the other side of the world, is it local to my internet provider ?
Is there an explanation for this frequent service failure ?
Is there some denial of service problem taking place ?

I have had this problem sporadically, but consistently, for the last 4 weeks. Occasionally, it will "disappear" and the post cannot be completed. I get a server error (500). The main site stays up, just the forum goes "away".
I have reported it, but, alas, it persists. |

I just did a spot check, I have Internet explorer 11.0.22 installed and it connected no problem to this thread (I'm in Italy btw)
I DO NOT use IExplorer as a rule, FIREFOX is FAR superior imo and I've never had the problem you mention simply connecting to the forum.
Sometimes I have problems posting something (get error message and then when re-post find it's posted twice) but it's sporadic and not very often (but still annoying when it happens).
Maybe it's related to some phpbb update if a new version has been released recently ? |

John, I tried three different browsers, same result. Then suddenly, all is working. An hour or two later, not working. Next day, working.
Obviously, I'm not checking constantly. The last few times today I've attempted to get on the forum, it has worked. But, not so yesterday in the afternoon (USA).
No rhyme or reason (as of yet). |

Hiccups like hell today. Hope Silverfrost did not outsource their server somewhere to Amazonia or north of Siberia |

This morning I tried Google Chrome for the first time and got straight through. I normally use Internet Explorer.
The problem has been getting much worse lately, especially yesterday.
I can always connect to Silverfrost.com, so I suspect it is a problem with the forum and not the server (if they use the same one). |

Try doing Google search with "FTN95", you get a strange ad with silverfrost.com www address:
Cheap Hermes Bags For Sale, Hermes Birkin Replica Store... |
