HP3000 old timer here, just signed up for Silverfrost forum. Have been using FORTRAN off and on since late 70's (started using for my engineering college classes, later on professionally, now as an occasional hobby).

On of one of my web pages (http://rrroberts.50webs.com/cobindex.htm) there are some links to tutorials on calling subroutines in a FORTRAN .dll from a DMD D main program (Command Prompt) and from a COBOL main program (Windows; no, COBOL is not dead yet). Scroll about halfway down the page to find the links.

Hope the tutorials are helpful to someone.
