|
|
I need to create some output in quite an 'irregular' tabular format.
By 'irregular' I mean that the 'cells format' may change depending upon the data to be output.
i.e.it's not necessarily just a uniform constant row and column size
A scenario might be:
first say 2 rows one a single cell across the whole width of the 'table', then another containing 2 long cells each across the whole width of the table,
then there will be a header row with descriptions of the cells contents,
from then on down the columns will be constant but maybe not same width, and row sizes and contents may vary... say maybe 2 rows of a certain format, then 1 of another, etc..... until the bottom of a page.
Is the only way to do this to create individual text boxes for individual 'cells' of the table all within a graphics window (drawing surface) or is there a swisher capability in CW+ that can easy the pain of the journey ?
Any suggestions and pointings in the best direction gratefully received.
Thanks

You will probably need to use individual text boxes (e.g. %rd, %rd, %rs) but %ob with %cb may help with the layout. |

Thanks for that confirmation Paul, I would suggest thinking about building some 'Table' functionality into Clearwin as it is a widely used results data 'format' and it would be VERY useful if it could be applied relatively easily ? The text boxes 'workaround' is not ideal.
Cheers

You can use %lv for a regular table. |
