I have just installed FTN95v4.9 with v1.99 of the debugger (under XP). I can neither permanently reposition the various windows nor get rid of the tip of the day. I have tried unchecking the tip of the day both in its own window and inTools/options, but this has no effect.
I have repositioned the various debug windows and checked the 'save size and position' option upon exit. Equally, this has no effect. What am I doing wrong here?

Roger
Each window has a system menu that drops down from the icon in the top left hand corner.
This has a Fix window option.
If the problem persists, see if sdbg.ini is being created in your Windows folder.
Try deleting this for a fresh start. |

Are you working on a machine that allows write access to the Windows folder? - SDBG writes its settings there and therefore needs write access. |

Andy,
Thanks for the advice. It was indeed a problem of access rights. Everything is now working.
