Hi,

a customer, Dr. Matthes, reports a problem with SUBROUTINE GET_SCREEN_DIB@( HDIB, X1, Y1, X2, Y2).
He says that sometime HDIB returns 0 and sometimes it does not. He has no idea why. Any idea?

Kind regards

Joerg Kuthe

Joerg

There are a number of stages within this routine any of which could go wrong.

1. Create a device context.
2. Create a compatible bitmap.
3. Copy the input.
4. Convert the result to a device indepent bitmap.

My guess is that stage 3 goes wrong and that there is something wrong with the input.
Unfortunately there is no error tracking here so with the existing routine there is no way of knowing which stage has failed.
