|
I updated to the latest edition which includes the new Plato 4.5. I thought I would provide some feedback:
(1) Generally good. I especially like how you can drag a tab to the bottom of the screen to create twin views (like in Visual Studio).
(2) I got errors opening my existing project files. I had to build new project files to get rid of these. Not a big problem for me.
(3) Previously, I could tick "show parameters in debugger" in SDBG and see all my parameters. Whereas this doesn't work now.
(4) SDBG still doesn't remember window positions between sessions.
(5) Like the coloured tabs. _________________ Programmer in: Fortran 77/95/2003/2008, C, C++ (& OpenMP), java, Python, Perl |

Thanks for the feedback.
In the Options dialog you will find an option to "Integrate with SDBG".
If you reset this then you should be able to get all of your debugger options via the SDBG screen. |

Thanks Paul.
I don't have SDBG integrated (and toggling this on and off doesn't help).
I can see all the options under the tools menu. But the option "Show PARAMETERS in the Variables window" doesn't work any more.
This never used to work actually, but somehow it started working with the previous release.
I will try playing around with my sdbg.ini file in c:\windows. This is also where the window sizes and locations are kept so I may figure out why my window positions are never remembered.
If I find anything, I willl post here. _________________ Programmer in: Fortran 77/95/2003/2008, C, C++ (& OpenMP), java, Python, Perl |

OK. I have got the parameters to be displayed by ticking FULL_DEBUG in the project options. I must have omitted option this when I re-built my projects. _________________ Programmer in: Fortran 77/95/2003/2008, C, C++ (& OpenMP), java, Python, Perl |

The "errors in project files" mentioned above have now been fixed. |
