I am trying to link a program with several Fortran subroutine using Windows 7 and the Plato system. All of the subroutines compile with no errors. However, when I try to "build" the linker errors out with a message "cannot create the run module xxxxx", where xxxxx is my module name. Any ideas? Sid Kraft

Sometimes, the reason for "unable to create ..." is that the programme you want to build (or a part of it) is still running. My first test in such a situation is to start the task manager and look whether this is true (and if, to kill the process).
