You can use the latest FTN95 and DLLs downloadable from this Forum but there is no reason to expect any improvement for select_printer@.

The VOLATILE attribute is not currently implemented in FTN95 but I will add it to the wish list for the next full release of FTN95.

There is a regression at v9.11 regarding BIND(C...). I will aim to upload a fix shortly.
