it seems as though using a windows file open dialogue to open any file during the application prevents the .tmo/.tmr files being written!

as we've got a workaround, i'll put this on the back burner ...

under 8.2/64 reports an undefined variable.

Kenny, read Paul's initial reply (first comment on p.1).

It appears thqat /ZEROISE is effectively the default and included automatically for 64-bit compiler.

I guess it's just a question of you ...

Well, it doesn't "appear" to be DEP that's the issue - at least, if i try to mimic the problem by setting it for all applications on my home network, the application still starts up OK.
